My home is in Fletcher, Vermont where my husband, David, and I raised one daughter and still care for six chickens and one cat on 10 beautiful acres. My daughter, Anne, lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband. My husband is also a teacher and we met in Michigan for our undergraduate work where I got a B.A. in English Literature. I have at some point taught all the grades from K-12, either in the classroom or on the athletic field as a former PE teacher and coach. I got a Masters in Education and am pretty satisfied with that. I love teaching kids and planning fun activities for learning. I love art, literature,gardening, hiking, jogging, cooking and quilting.

I live in Burlington, Vermont with my husband Terry Bouricius and two children, Lydia 14, and Milo 9. I recieved my undergraduate and graduate degrees from St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. I have taught high school, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. My undergraduate work was in American Studies and my Master's Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a Co-Director for the National Writing Project in Vermont. In my personal time I enjoy swing and tango dancing with my husband.
